Blackberry & Apple Crumble

Preparation and cooking time: 45 minutes

Ingredients: 

1 kg cooking apples (peeled and cored)
300g blackberries (fresh or frozen)
Juice of ½ lemon
2-3 tbsp soft brown sugar
1 tbsp elderflower cordial
150g Nature’s Path Organic Maple Sunrise

Directions: 
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C / gas mark 4
  • Peel and core apples, chop into chunks. Cook in the lemon juice in a pan for 10-15 minutes (turning over gently every few minutes) over a medium heat until soft.
  • Add the 2 tablespoons of sugar and the elderflower cordial. Stir well and check for sweetness, add more sugar if required. Cook gently for a further 5 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat and add the blackberries.
  • Place in an oven proof casserole dish.
  • Sprinkle over the Maple Sunrise.
  • Bake in the oven for 20-30 minutes until the Maple Sunrise topping turns golden and crisp.
